Ethan could have missed it. He could have been too naive, too overwhelmed, too selfish, or too young. Instead, Ethan chose to see.
In 2017, Ethan and his father visited Uganda and their sponsored child, Emmanuel. While there, Ethan saw children walking everywhere barefoot and decided to do something.
As Ethan experienced the Ugandan earth in his bare feet, he asked questions steeped in compassion. “Dad, why didn’t we do more? Why didn’t we bring him more shoes, more clothes, … we could have done so much more.”
Ethan saw a need and took action like a small ripple building into a mighty wave.
Ethan’s heart of compassion inspired a story about Amelia, a little bird, who learns to see the needs of others through her new goggles. Check out the free eBook from Compassion International. https://www.compassion.com/devotionals/free-ebook-for-kids.htm
